## Documents required
- Passport valid for at least 6 months with at least one blank page
- Completed visa application form
- Recent passport photograph
- Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
- Proof of accommodation for the stay
- Proof of funds, commonly guided at ฿20,000 per person
- Thailand Digital Arrival Card, completed up to 3 days before arrival

## Notes
From 8 october 2024 eVisa applicants from Turkmenistan are no longer required to submit passports and supporting documents in person at the Thai Embassy in Ankara (Turkey). After the eVisa application has been approved, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to applicants, which can be printed out for presenting to airlines and Thai immigration officials when traveling to Thailand.

## Can this stay be extended from inside the country?
- Possible inside: **yes**
- Must leave the country: **no**
- Cost: ฿1,900

A single 30-day extension, once per entry. This applies equally to a tourist visa and to visa-exempt entry. Visa on Arrival cannot be extended.

**Cost detail.** ฿1,900 in cash — most immigration offices do not accept cards. Budget another ฿100–200 for photographs and photocopies.

**How.** Apply in person on form TM.7 at any Thai Immigration office, up to 30 days before your current stamp expires. Processing is same-day, typically 1–3 hours. Bring your TM30 residence notification receipt — your hotel or landlord is legally required to file it, and a missing TM30 is the most common reason people are turned away.

**If you cannot extend.** There is no online extension service. Once the extended stay ends, the usual options are to leave and re-enter, or move to a different visa category.
