Entry Requirements

A visa is compulsory to enter Niger except for nationals of member countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and certain states with which Niger has visa abolition agreements. This includes Tunisia, Morocco, Chad, Cuba, and holders of diplomatic/service passports from Algeria, Turkey, and Indonesia.

Processing Time: The visa is issued within 5 working days from receipt of complete documentation.

Special Requirements

Foreign Journalists

A filming authorization from the Nigerien Ministry in charge of communication is required.

Minor Children

Signed authorization from the non-traveling parent(s) and a copy of their passport is required.

Important Application Notes

Mail-in Applications: Must include a registered return envelope with acknowledgment of receipt. Use Chronopost for emergencies.

Business Certifications: Certification of signature, legalization of documents for foreign companies costs £250.

Payment: All payments at the Embassy are made in cash or through visa agencies against receipt. Checks, credit cards, and money orders are not accepted.
